Mexico wants Saudi Arabian technical help in tapping its oil reserves, Reforma newspaper said, citing the head of state oil monopoly Pemex after a meeting Saudi Arabian Energy Minister Ali Al Naimi.

Pemex general director Luis Ramirez, who hosted Naimi during a visit to Mexico, said the countries were discussing areas of the oil industry in which they could collaborate, the newspaper said. “The technological area is very important to us,” the paper cited Ramirez as saying. “They are the world leaders, not just regarding international supply needs, but also in the efficient way they have developed their industry.”
