TotalEnergies (48 per cent, operator) has started up the Lapa South-West project in the Santos Basin, 300 km offshore Brazil.
The project, comprising three wells tied to the existing Lapa FPSO, will add 25,000 barrels per day to the Lapa field.
Leveraging existing facilities, it delivers low-cost, low-emission production, supporting TotalEnergies’ goal to grow output by 3 per cent annually until 2030.
This follows Mero-4’s 2025 start-up and precedes Atapu-2 and Sepia-2 in 2029.
