Kuwait Pipe Industries and Oil Services Company (KPIOS) has new strategies to develop the organisation in the coming years, says chairman Loay Jassim Al Kharafi.

The most important strategies are to establish a modern three layer external pipe coating plant and internal epoxy lining plant besides erection of a new industrial production line that may support the requirements of the Kuwait oil and gas industries.
The new products will be based on the state- of-the-art technology consistent with development and modernisation of the industries elsewhere in the world.
KPIOS, a senior corporate citizen in Kuwait, has over the last several years served the engineering sector throught its income generation, import substitution and employment creation by adopting these goals and objectives.
The company is also actively supporting the national economy of Kuwait through its industrial promotion efforts as well as the trading of our shares in the Kuwait Stock Exchange.
Kuwait Pipe Industries and Oil Services Company was established in 1966.
Since then, the company's manufacturing capacity and the range of technical services have expanded substantially to such an extent that it is acknowledged as one of the leading pipe manufacturers and steel fabricators in the world. KPIOS' production facilities are located in an industrial plot measuring more than 250,000 square metres in Kuwait's Sulaibiya Industrial Area.
KPIOS' overall plant capacity is around 130,000 metric tonnes per annum. Besides, KPIOS is also equipped with state of the art pipe coating and lining facilities.
KPIOS says many thousands of kilometres of its pipes are now serving the various communities and industries throughout Europe, Asia and Africa.
As a measure of its technical capabilities, KPIOS was permitted, since 1970s to use the monogram of the American Petroleum Institute, the ultimate standard in assessing quality of pipe manufacture. KPIOS was for a long time the only company in the Middle East to receive such honours.
First priority of the top management is the safety of its staff and equipment. As an acknowledgement of its industrial safety measures, the company has the pride of having the membership of the British Safety Council.
In addition to its piping related services, KPIOS has also recently diversified into fabrication of pressure vessels through its recently established Pressure Vessel Division.
