Control Flow Inc has grown to become four of the most widely respected names in the petroleum industry.

It manufacturers valves, offshore oilfield drilling equipment, wellhead, production pressure control equipment and motion compensation equipment, including pipe-handling equipment.
The company's products can be found in major drilling areas in the world. Control Flow products are available through its US District Sales Offices, Service Centres and regional warehouses. Overseas, its products are distributed through outlets in Europe, the Middle East and Asia and by a growing list of exclusive distributorships in Latin America.
The line of equipment includes hydraulic and manual blow out preventers (BOP), christmas trees, workover and drilling accumulators, custom choke and kill manifolds, choke control panels and one of the most comprehensive assortments of API valves, flanges, crosses, tees, studded adapters and riser and diverter spools in the industry. Wellhead equipment includes hangers, slips, test plugs and retrieval tools.
Flocon's product lines have grown to include a full spectrum of adjustable, positive and full bore chokes, drilling and pipeline gate valves, upper and lower kelly cocks and check valves. While Westech HMD (formerly Western Gear) continues to manufacture the legendary Pipemaster line of linear pipe tensioners (LPT), motion compensators, heave compensators, riser tensioners, flex pipe tensioners and piperackers.
The headquarters and factory are located on a fifteen-acre site in Northwest Houston. The company's manufacturing facility and international headquarters offer greater design, precision manufacturing, in-house testing and training potential. Virtually all critical manufacturing is performed in air-conditioned environment with numerically controlled equipment.
The Quality Assurance Department's in-house testing facility is one of the best equipped in the oilpatch. The company says its products will "meet or exceed" all applicable API, NACE, ASTM, and ASME requirements.
Control Flow Inc has been designing and building specialised equipment for the petroleum industry for years. All of its applicable NDE procedures are written in accordance with ASME Section V requirements.
Control Flow Inc manufactures a complete line of manual and hydraulic Gate Valves and Check Valves.
Its offers types "BW", "BWH", "DW", "DW-10", "Fire Safe", "Surface Safety," Fracturing."
The hydraulic valve is available with a manual closing and locking screw. The adjusting nut in the blind cylinder head absorbs the overload or test pressures applied to the opening side of the valve, preventing the pressure from reaching the stem.
The cylinder head is made to allow the piston to cover the exhaust port before the end of the stroke. This arrangement provides enough damping to protect the valve from shock loading.
The overload or test pressures applied to the closing side of the cylinder are absorbed by the piston bottoming out against the packing gland of the stem.
The tail rod and the operating stem have backseating shoulders to allow changing the stem packing while the valve is under pressure.
Cylinder-operated valves have a special body containing a stuffing box through which a tail rod passes from the gate.
The tail rod acts as a pressure balance for the stem which connects the gate to the operating piston. It compensates for the volume displaced by the operating stem.
Each FloGuard valve utilises an unthreaded, field-replaceable seat and Control Flow's exclusive inside blowout preventer design for its sealing poppet. This sealing system has been field-proved for many years in the most demanding drilling environments. FloGuard in-line check valves come in 2" through 8" sizes and working pressures up the 5,000 psi with a wide choice of body trims and end connections. The body, seat and poppet are manufactured from solid alloy steel, resulting in added strength and longer valve life than competitive cast valves.
Control Flow offers an in-line check valve that provides maximum flow, low turbulence, reduced slam, positive shutoff, and long life with minimum maintenance. A durable, spring-loaded check valve which seals effectively against back pressure in the line, but readily opens to normal pump or flow pressures.
All hydrostatic or nitrogen testing is performed by Control Flow Inc in accordance with applicable written procedures. All testing equipment meets the requirements of NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).
