NGK Corporation and Kyoto Fusioneering (KF) have partnered to develop and commercialise FLiBe, a molten salt material for future fusion power plants and demonstration facilities. 

The collaboration aims to establish the technology and supply chain needed to support fusion energy deployment. 

NGK will contribute its expertise in beryllium materials, refining and safety management, while KF will provide fusion engineering capabilities and lead facility design. 

The companies will develop fusion-grade FLiBe production and testing systems, supporting the creation of a reliable global supply chain for future fusion energy projects.
