GCI – Geyad for Commerce and Import Co, Ltd – was founded with an ambitious vision back in 1980 as a small fabrication plant with an area of 7,500 sq m in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.
It has gradually grown since then and has become one of the leading steel fabricators in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
Geyad has developed strong ties with a number of reputed clients by delivering excellent quality products at competitive prices implementing a customer satisfaction policy in all its operations.
Geyad's strict policy of meeting customer's delivery target dates has also contributed a great share to the present success.
Geyad has recently obtained another land in addition to its two fabrication plants in Dammam 2nd Industrial City to launch its third facility in the near future which brings the total area of Geyad facilities to (+55,000 sq m) to fulfill the increasing demand of steel fabrication industry.
The company is registered with SGS Yarsley International Certification Services Limited for Quality Management System ISO 9001.
It is accredited with the prestigious certificates of authorisation and code symbol 'U' and 'UM' stamps from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
Additionally, Geyad is a holder of 'R' and 'NB' stamps from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBBI)
M/S Al-Nasser Industrial Enterprises of the Abu Dhabi, UAE, joined Geyad as partners in 1999. Al-Nasser Industrial Enterprises is a part of Al-Nasser Holding Group established in 1992 which has seven operating ventures in steel melting, P.E. rotomoulding, SMC panel steel rolling, oil spill absorbents, pet bottles and transformers.
Products
Providing a comprehensive design and detailing facility for steel structures, tanks and pressure vessels, both computerized and manual, Geyad has performed prestigious work throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries. GCI operates strict Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures for its manufacturing processes.
These procedures include the following:
a) Quality Management System (QMS) internal audits which are carried out by certified external and internal auditors. These auditors are qualified in accordance with the rules of International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA).
b) Welding Inspection and other related works which are conducted by Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI). These inspectors are qualified by the American Welding Society (AWS).
c) In-house Non-Destructive Tests like Ultrasonic Test (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and Penetrant Test (PT) which are performed by certified Level – II inspectors. These inspectors are qualified in accordance with the guidance of the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT).
Manufacturing processes include: Plate rolling; plasma cutting; oxyacetylene cutting; arc welding; MIG welding; TIG welding; SAW welding; hydraulic pressing up to 200 tonnes; drilling / reboring up to 76mm diameter; plate shearing up to 16mm thick; angle bar, flat bar, round bar, etc. cropping and punching; radial drilling and blasting / painting.
