RCM Thermal Kinetics, a division of RCM Technologies, completed its first NEXT (New Ethanol eXpansion Technology) project, expanding a Midwestern ethanol plant from 40 million gallons per year (MMGY) to 105 MMGY.

This marks the first time a standard 40 MMGY facility surpassed 100 million gallons using its original distillation columns.

Incremental expansions to 65 and 86 MMGY set the stage, demonstrating how advanced process optimisation can boost legacy plants’ capacity without costly equipment replacement, setting a new industry benchmark.
