Background
The project aims to sustain production capacity of the Saih Rawl field as the reservoir pressure decline over time. The field is primarily used to feed the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry, but is also used as a back-up when other plants are shut down for maintenance.


Project status
June 2015: The project is at pre-commission stage.
Some 99.6 per cent of works have been been completed.


Project scope
The scope of work includes:
• Debottlenecking of the existing plant; 
• Installation of compressor; 
• Construction of gas substations; and
• Associated facilities.


Project finance
Petroleum Development Oman is the client.
