Kinetic7, founded by Australian entrepreneur Rick Parish, has announced a hydrogen on demand (HOD) energy platform aimed at addressing the UK and global energy crisis.
The company claims its system can reduce household energy bills by 30-45 per cent at a time of record prices and rising energy insecurity across Europe, driven by geopolitical tensions and supply constraints.
Kinetic7 says it has developed a patented method to safely produce hydrogen gas on demand without the need for storage, potentially removing one of the major cost and safety barriers of hydrogen energy.
The technology generates hydrogen at the point of use with minimal emissions, relying only on water and small amounts of electricity or solar power.
It is being deployed across multiple products, including portable Tribe and Nomad stoves for humanitarian, military, and emergency use, as well as the HODbox system for residential and commercial applications.
The residential unit is designed to attach directly to homes, providing energy for cooking, heating, and hot water at lower cost than traditional gas networks.
Kinetic7 argues its approach could improve energy security by reducing reliance on legacy gas suppliers and expensive infrastructure.
The company has offices in several countries and says its technology supports multiple UN sustainability goals.
It has also undergone independent review by experts at Imperial College London.
