The Roadmaps to New Nuclear 2026 will bring together ministers, senior government representatives, industry leaders, investors, experts and other key stakeholders to advance practical solutions for deploying new nuclear energy capacity at scale.

The event is co-hosted by OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) and the US Department of Energy in Paris, France, on September, 17-18, 2026.

The Roadmaps to New Nuclear 2026 will provide an important forum for governments and industry leaders to turn ambition into action and ensure that the conditions are in place to deliver new nuclear capacity at scale.

The conference will focus on the policies, partnerships and practical actions needed to strengthen nuclear supply chains, expand the workforce, mobilise investment and accelerate project delivery.

The sessions will cover a wide range of topics, including large-scale nuclear deployment, the growing relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and nuclear energy, regulatory modernisation, financing models and nuclear fuel supply security.

The participants will also examine pathways to advance the deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs) for electricity generation, industrial applications, fuel recycling and maritime propulsion.

Ministers and CEOs will further focus on ways to strengthen international co-operation, how to expand access to development finance and ongoing initiatives to advance innovative financing approaches to support nuclear energy deployment in emerging economies.
