Secu-Tech has introduced XPULSE, a modular platform designed to reduce errors and improve safety during fuel delivery.
The system brings metering, safety functions, vehicle operation and communication into a shared workflow covering loading, planning, delivery and documentation.
The platform is being developed to help drivers verify which tanker compartment contains each product, confirm whether discharge is permitted and respond correctly to faults, with the aim of preventing wrong-product deliveries and spills.
The need for improved controls is underscored by German accident statistics. Destatis recorded 1,461 accidents involving substances hazardous to water in 2025, resulting in around 5.9 million litres of released material, of which approximately 2.4 million litres could not be recovered.
The figures cover incidents involving the handling and transport of water-hazardous substances.
XPULSE uses a modular architecture built around a Core Unit for computing and operation. XPANSION Units allow additional function modules to be integrated as vehicle requirements evolve.
Existing meters and sensors can also remain in use, subject to technical and regulatory compatibility assessments.
Initially targeting fuel logistics, XPULSE is designed for potential expansion into other liquid-handling applications.
Secu-Tech says the platform will allow fleets to modernise vehicles incrementally rather than replacing existing equipment outright.
