OES Group has returned to private ownership following the completion of a management buyout, marking a new chapter for the Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) specialist.

The transaction restores independent ownership and returns the business to founder Richard Upshall, 30 years after he established the company in 1996.

OES Group said the move will support its long-term growth strategy and strengthen its integrated TICC offering across specialist operating companies.

The group comprises six businesses: OES Asset Integrity, Life Cycle Asset Management, Derrick Services, JVS Manufacturing, Arcus Software and OES Training Academy.

Together, the companies provide services spanning the asset lifecycle, including technical assurance, asset integrity, digital solutions and workforce training.

The group supports customers across the energy, oil and gas, marine, renewables, infrastructure and industrial sectors, with a focus on safety, compliance, asset performance and operational resilience.

OES Group said private ownership will enable it to accelerate growth and further develop its integrated platform.
