TotalEnergies Lubmarine has launched Aurelia FE, a trunk piston engine oil designed to improve vessel efficiency and reduce fuel consumption. 

Laboratory testing showed 1.5 per cent fuel savings on a standardised IMO E3 cycle, while field tests indicate potentially higher savings. 

The lubricant requires no equipment modifications or downtime and is backed by more than 100,000 hours of service experience, offering shipowners a potential route to lower operating costs and emissions.
