PipeSense has expanded its offshore capabilities following successful projects off Angola, using its PipeScan pressure-pulse technology to locate pipeline obstructions. 

Working with a oil and gas operator, the company assessed a 20-inch natural gas pipeline and a 16-inch crude and multiphase pipeline. 

Obstructions were located around 11km downstream in one pipeline and within 700m in the other, with approximately ±30m accuracy. 

The technology enables offshore inspections without disrupting operations or requiring specialised tracking equipment.
