Rawanda has managed to secure €173.84 million ($204 million) from the African Development Bank (AfDB) for its Rwanda Energy Sector Result-Based Financing (RBF II) programme, aiming to modernise the electricity network, expand access to clean energy, and strengthen institutional capacity.

The programme will connect 200,000 households, 850 productive use customers, and 50,000 new electricity connections through off-grid solutions.
