Cemvita and Radix are advancing front-end engineering for a circular bio-oil project in Brazil, converting crude glycerin, a biodiesel byproduct, into ultra-low carbon intensity bio-oil for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other advanced biofuels.
Cemvita’s proprietary biomanufacturing platform transforms glycerin into versatile, drop-in feedstocks suitable for co-processing in refineries or HEFA-based SAF production.
Radix provides engineering, industrial design, and scalability expertise, aligning the biomanu-facturing process with industrial constraints and reducing execution risk.
This approach enables crude glycerin to become a strategic input for low-carbon fuels, support-ing circular bioeconomy principles.
The project is designed for replication across biodiesel facilities and aims to reach Final Investment Decision in 2026, expanding feedstock options and decarbonisation potential in Brazil’s fuel value chain.
