US-BASED Wellbend Corporation, a world leader in carbon steel pipe fittings and flanges, is expanding its presence in the Middle East taking advantage of a tie-up with Mohammed Mosheal Al-Qarni Sons Company (MQS) of Saudi Arabia.

Recently MQS signed a major agreement with Weldbend highlighting the capability of the Saudi firm in supplying top-quality industrial products.
The agreement was signed by Weldbend representative Mohammed Daoud and MQS president Khalid Mohammed Al-Qarni in the presence of MQS vice-president Mosheal M Al-Qarni, MQS general manager Tariq Al-Qarni and MQS assistant general manager Bandar M Al-Qarni.The new business partnership has proved a success, says a spokesperson.
The two firms took part in the recent Oil and Gas show in Bahrain. “Such shows have a great impact on the economy as a large number of industries in the oil and gas sector take part and use the exhibition for pursuing business opportunities,” Daoud tells OGN.
Daoud, who is also the region’s representative for Core Pipe, the largest manufacturer of stainless steel pipes in the US, says: “We are looking forward to both Wellbend and Core Pipe to play a major role in the oil and gas industries of the GCC.”
MQS is celebrating 35 years of service in Saudi Arabia this year, as it continues to expand and diversify its portfolio of services.
