Capital Safety, home of the DBI-Sala and Protecta brands of fall protection equipment, introduces the new Protecta Rebel range of Self-Retracting Lifeline (SRL) to the Middle East.

Rebel cable models are available from 6m to 30m. This new range replaces the famous Protecta JRG SRL. There are three different housing sizes : 6 and 10 m; 15 m; and 20, 25, and 30 m cable length.

The Rebel range offers major new features to the customer : The carrying handle is now available from the smallest model, allowing a customer friendly handling of the SRL.

The user can then carry and connect the SRL with less effort. Each model is available in two types of housing:
1) lightweight thermoplastic or
2) heavy duty aluminum 

The user can then choose the version that will suit its application the best. Rebel SRL meets CE sharp edge standards and can be used horizontally with an extension sling.

Some dedicated models of the Rebel SRL are designed to meet the last updated CE sharp edge standard requirements and can then be used at horizontal. This new main features added to other ones like double swivel and stackable housing make this block to set the standard in terms of technical features and quality for a Protecta SRL.

Each model of the Rebel SRL has a fall indicator karabiner. It allows a competent person to perform the yearly inspection visually without having to send the SRL back to a service center for opening and inspection. The fall indicator karabiner, combined with detailed inspection following our user instructions allows a competent person to easily perform the annual inspection and identify if the block needs to be repaired.

The Rebel SRL have 30 per cent less moving parts than many competitive SRL’s. This new Rebel SRL range can be used on several different applications. However, this Protecta SRL is especially dedicated to the construction and industrial markets. The applications are for example steel erection, roofing, general construction, maintenance.
