Quasar 150HP Workclass ROV in operation off the coast of Greece
Film-Ocean, an Aberdeenshire-based ROV services company, has expanded its fleet with the addition of a further Quasar 150 HP Workclass ROV system.
The Ellon-based firm said the significant investment is part of its fleet expansion strategy, which has seen four ROV systems added over the past 12 months.
Working at depths of up to 3,000 m, Film-Ocean’s Quasar 150 HP Workclass ROV, a medium-sized high-power ROV, can carry out surveying, IRM, drill support and construction tasks.
Film-Ocean’s Quasar systems are both currently deployed in the North Sea and the Aegean Sea, supporting an electrical interconnection cable installation project.
Scott Jenney, Film-Ocean chief executive officer, said: “The additional Quasar ROV system is the latest in a series of planned developments within the business and an excellent addition to the fleet.
“We continue to see a high level of enquiries for this type of ROV system and this investment allows us to provide the additional capacity that our customers require.
“The latest strategic investment will equip Film-Ocean to continue with our development plans both domestic and international.” --Tradearabia News Service
