ALRASHED FASTENERS and ENGINEERING FABRICATION SERVICES (National Fasteners) is a part of Rashed Abdul Rahman AlRashed & Sons Group (RAR Group) which was founded in 1950.

The firm, which has valid accreditation from ISO, consists of three divisions namely: Fasteners Division (National Fasteners);  Taurus Automotive Fasteners; and Engineering Fabrication Services (EFS).

The Fasteners Division manufactures top quality high tensile fasteners like bolts, nuts, stud bolts, anchor bolts and various specialised fasteners required for structural steel industry, petroleum industry and tower transmission industry etc.

The unit's integrated manufacturing facilities have fully automated machines for manufacturing bolts and nuts supported by state of the art technology for heat treatment, surface treatment, electro galvanizing, hot dip galvanizing, inhouse tool shop with high precision and sophisticated fabrication/repairing of dies,' punches and other required tools.
The quality assurance and control system is based on EN ISO9001 : 2000, while the company has added high quality automotive fasteners under brand name 'Taurus' to its portfolio.

The automotive fastener range will include complete range to G.E.T. Under Carriage and other fasteners (bolts and nuts) and pins for heavy duty earth moving machines and match and surpass any international and OEM standards.

The Engineering Fabrication Services' Division specialises in oil field drilling services, including latest pipe stubbing facility. The plant is fully equipped to do medium size fabrication and machining of various precision components like gears, shaft, sprockets, tools, large machine components among others.

It is already involved in manufacturing of oil field tools and accessories like drill pipe, casing, crossovers, couplers, hole openers and reamers etc.

Their production range includes stud bolts, high strength bolts, heavy hex structural bolt and nuts, standard hex bolt and nuts, anchor bolt, up bolts,  etc. and 'Taurus' brand automotive fasteners for heavy equipments.

The company has steadily grown to become one of Saudia Arabia's major suppliers of fasteners to all projects in the Kingdom as well as neighbouring GCC countries.
The company has a very strong export base exporting products to Far East, Europe (including UK), GCC and African countries.

For example their major customers include Saudi Aramco, Zamil Steel, Hidada, William Hare-UK, Cleveland Bridge, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, ABB/SST, CCC, Kirby, Snamprogeti, AlBabtain Leblanc, Saudi Building Systems, and Chiyoda Petrostar among many others.

They are involved in the projects like Royal Commission Projects in Jubail and Yanbu, King Fahd Causeway, Rabigh Makkah Project, Qasim/Riyadh Transmission Tower Project, MODA Project Riyadh, SCECO East Project Dammam, Desalination Plant Project in Madina, Yanbu, Alkhobar, King Fahd International Airport project, Electrical Transmission Towers, Makkah-Madinah, Hawaiya Project, Berry Gas Plant, Military Hospital Bahrain, Kirby Building System Kuwait, Kuwait National Petroleum Co, Qatar General Petroleum Co, Kuwait Oil Co, and Cleveland Bridge Engineering Co.

A substantial increase has been witnessed by the firm in sales and profits for this year compared to previous years. For the first half of 2003 they  achieved 116 per cent sales and within seven months this year they have achieved the net profit figure of the year ended 2002 and expect record net profits for the year end 2003.

'We have also good number of orders in the pipeline including for exports, and are currently in the final stage of signing contracts for four big projects in Egypt' they have said.

Today the company is exploring the possibility of inviting overseas companies with solid reputation and involved in oil field activities for  expansion of its activities in the gas and oilfield products and services by utilising their land, machinery and manpower facilities.
