An air-powered saw and easy-to-mount track that assures a perfectly square cut when trimming boiler tube panel sections and eliminates a HAZ (heat affected zone) is available from US-based ESCO Tool of Medfield
The Esco APS-438 Air-Powered Saw features a fiberglass reinforced blade that can cut virtually any tube or pipe up to 111 mm thick, regardless of material. Available with a quick-clamp track which has jaws to securely grip whole panel sections, the saw glides along allowing the front edge of the blade to work; producing a perfectly square cut with ± 3.18 mm accuracy.
Ideally suited for trimming a boiler tube panel to length, the Esco APS-438 Air-Powered Saw is faster and safer than cutting by free hand or using a torch.
Capable of cutting inconel, stainless steel, ash- and concrete lined pipe, the 2.244 kW saw weighs 12.7 kg and requires 6.2 bar @2265 It/min. Blades range from 203.2 to 304.8 mm made from fiberglass or carbide.
The Esco APS-438 Air-Powered Saw is priced at $5,330 and the quickclamp track is priced according to length. Literature and pricing are provided upon request.
