Vietnam, Southeast Asia's third-largest oil producer, said its crude oil output in December would fall 5.3 per cent from November levels to around 360,100 barrels per day (bpd).

Output this month was down from November's revised 380,200 bpd and about 11.5 per cent lower than in December 2004, the government said.
Overall production in 2005 was estimated to have fallen 7.7 per cent from 2004 to around 371,500 bpd, the General Statistics Office said.  It did not give a reason for the decline in output.
Production this year has run well below the peak of 434,000 bpd in January 2004 due mainly to a fall in output at Bach Ho, the country's biggest oilfield.
Officials at Petrovietnam have said Bach Ho output remained at around 220,000 bpd, despite the reinstallation in September of a storage vessel that had been suspended for repairs in 2005.
