Panduit team expands
Panduit, the global leader in wiring andcommunication products, has announced the expansion of its Middle East team.

In the first half of this year, Panduit has appointed Michael Jakins as area manager for the electrical and oil and gas division.
In his role, Jakins is responsible for the management and the implementation of development strategies, plans and activities for the electrical and oil and gas sectors. Jakins has almost 10 years extensive sales management experience within the MiddleEast and North Africa region.
Bassel Al Halabi was recently promoted to area manager for the Data Communication Division in the Middle East. Al Halabi has a wealth of experience in the region, having worked for GulfBusiness Machines (GBM) for six years prior to joining Panduit as an account manager inearly 2007.
Several account managers have also been appointed recently, including Abdul Halim for AbuDhabi and Faisal Israr for Dubai and Pakistan. They will both be responsible for implementing market strategies and working with plans and activities that support the achievement of corporate and EMEA targets. Halim and Israr join Panduit with over 10 years of IT industry experience.
“We are pleased to announce these new additions to the team,” said Pete Gough, regional business manager, Panduit Middle East and Pakistan.

Petron names president
Petron said its board elected Kamal Al Yahya as new president and director of the Philippines' largest oil refiner by capacity and sales. Al Yahya will replace Khalid Al Faddagh. Al Faddagh was recalled back to Saudi Arabia to take on a new assignment for Saudi Aramco.

Transneft appoints acting chief
Yuri Lisin, a vice-president of Russian oil pipeline monopoly Transneft, has been appointed the company's acting head, Transneft vice-president Sergei Grigoryev said.
Earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin appointed Transneft chief Semyon Vainshtok the head of a state corporation charged with preparations for Russia's 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.
