AL MUKHTAR Contracting and Trading Company, a diversified firm engaged in construction and development, cleaning and pest control services, paint supply and painting services, energy, oil field services, medical supplies, and general contracting and trading, is negotiating with its business associates to start new ventures.
The company, which has maintained a steady business growth over a period of time, hopes to do better next year.
Established in the 1989, by Mohamed Abdullah Abdulghani and his younger brother Abdulrahman Abdullah Abdulghani, the company began its operations mainly in the field of supplies to oil field industries.
In a matter of 20 years, the total manpower grew into around 3,000, which includes, a core set of professionals comprising engineers, chartered accountants and industry specific technical staff looking after the activities of the nine divisions in the Company.
“Al Mukhtar, today, is the one of the biggest cleaning and pest control services company in Qatar,” says Mohammad A.Rahim Mohammad, chief executive officer of the company.
“We have been awarded the 50 per cent of the total painting services of the Barwa project, which is one of the major projects in Qatar,” he says.
Among the major clients of Al Mukhtar are prestigious organisations such as Qatar Petroleum, Occidental Qatar, Halliburton, Qatar Fertiliser Company, QAFAC, Barwa, the Doha International Airport and the Qatar Foundation.
