Background

With the objective of making the UAE gas self-sufficient, Adnoc, has announced plans to develop Dalma offshore sour gas field, which is an important part of the Ghasha ultra-sour gas concession. The overall project scope of work is split into separate packages. Package B relates to the onshore project scope.

Project Status

As of February 2024, DBMSC Steel will supply the steel for the project. Additionally, on January 2024 Tecnicas Reunidas and Target Engineering have awarded Ali & Sons Marine Engineering Factory a subcontract to supply modularised structures for the project.

Project Scope

The project involves constructing gas conditioning facilities for dehydration and compression, as well as constructing utilities on Arzanah Island, which will then be sent to the Habshan gas processing plant for further processing required to produce sales gas, condensate, and sulfur.

Project Finance

Adnoc is the project client. It is 60 per cent owned by Adnoc and 40 per cent owned by Occidental Petroleum (OXY).
