The World Utilities Congress will return to Abu Dhabi from May 25 to 27, 2027, hosted by TAQA, bringing together global leaders to advance investment, technology and partnerships across the power and water sectors.
The event will provide a platform for policymakers, utility operators, investors, developers and technology providers to address rising electricity and water demand, infrastructure challenges and the need for more secure, resilient and affordable utility systems.
The congress is expected to attract more than 25,000 exhibition attendees, 250 global exhibitors and 1,000 conference delegates.
Its programme will feature over 500 expert speakers and more than 120 conference sessions.
Discussions will focus on infrastructure investment, energy security, grid modernisation, water security, supply chain resilience, regional interconnection and sustainable technologies.
The programme will also examine the role of digitalisation and artificial intelligence in improving utility operations and infrastructure performance.
The strategic conference will bring together ministers, chief executives and policymakers to explore investment priorities, system reliability, affordability, decarbonisation and regional cooperation.
Meanwhile, the technical conference will showcase engineering practices, operational solutions and case studies aimed at improving efficiency and strengthening power and water networks.
The exhibition will connect solution providers with utilities, government entities, regulators, investors and project developers, creating opportunities to explore new technologies, establish commercial relationships and identify potential projects.
Organisers said the congress aims to bridge policy and investment priorities with practical implementation, helping stakeholders accelerate infrastructure development and deliver integrated solutions across the utilities value chain.
