BBTC Mena 2025 will explore innovative solutions to reduce emissions and increase efficiency

The 11th edition of the Bottom of the Barrel Technology Conference (BBTC) Mena is set to take place from February 4–5 in Bahrain. This conference is dedicated to residue upgrading technologies and catalysts specifically tailored for the Mena region.

As the oil and gas industry faces pressing challenges in downstream processing, upgrading the bottom of the barrel has become a critical focus. BBTC Mena 2025 will bring together refiners, solution providers, contractors, and consultants to explore innovative solutions aimed at reducing emissions, increasing efficiency, and improving product specifications.

The conference will also address the integration with petrochemicals, enhancing profitability, and meeting the industry's decarbonisation objectives.

Euro Petroleum Consultants, a global consulting firm, is organising this event, co-hosted by the Ministry of Oil and Environment, featuring Dr Mohamed Bin Dainah, the Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in discussions about the latest developments in bottom-of-the-barrel processes and catalysts, as well as emerging opportunities stemming from the shift towards petrochemicals and chemicals.

The conference will include a variety of sessions covering topics such as industry outlooks, trends, and key projects; integrating innovative solutions; operating strategies; optimisation and debottlenecking of assets; catalysts focusing on innovations, management, and circularity; a follow-up on integrating innovative solutions; and specialised equipment, tools, and techniques aimed at enhancing reliability and profitability.
