The Global CCS Institute is hosting the 2025 Middle East and Africa Forum on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, on November 6, 2025.

The event, held on the grounds of Adipec conference, will feature key players supporting the scale-up of carbon capture and storage in the region, including policy and government leaders, researchers, academics, project developers, and industry experts.

The forum will discuss how to turn this alignment into scale, including advancing carbon capture technologies, bankable capture for hard-to-abate sectors and emerging economies, and transboundary carbon transport underpinned by credible MRV and emerging carbon markets.

Key themes include finance’s role in enabling large-scale CCS deployment, cross-border collaboration opportunities, advances in innovative technologies, the potential of Direct Air Carbon Capture (DACC), and the integration of CCS into broader climate and energy strategies.
