Under the terms of the MoU, Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, EODev, and Octopian will work together on the introduction, demonstration, and potential future localisation of EODev’s hydrogen power technologies in Saudi Arabia.
EODev’s solutions, including the GEH2 stationary hydrogen generator, utilise Toyota’s fuel cell technology to provide zero-emission, reliable power across a broad range of applications.
Mazin Ghazi Jameel, Managing Director, Toyota Marketing Operations, comments: "This collaboration demonstrates Abdul Latif Jameel Motors’ commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s transition towards a low-carbon future, fully aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. By extending hydrogen solutions through this MoU beyond mobility into industrial and commercial applications, we aim to contribute to building a cleaner and more efficient energy landscape for everyone."
Stephane Jardin, Deputy CEO, EODev, adds: "We are proud to partner with Abdul Latif Jameel Motors and Octopian to introduce our hydrogen power solutions to the Kingdom. This collaboration marks a major step in EODev’s global expansion and reinforces the relevance of our GEH2 generator, which combines Toyota’s proven fuel cell technology with our energy management expertise. Together, we intend to support Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a leader in clean, reliable, and zero-emission energy, turning vision into action."
Dr Tariq Jbarah, CEO, Octopian Global Services, says: "This collaboration is an important milestone in Octopian’s mission to support the region’s transition towards cleaner, smarter, and more resilient energy ecosystems. By combining our operational excellence with Abdul Latif Jameel Motors’ market leadership and EODev’s technological expertise, we aim to accelerate the uptake of hydrogen power solutions that will shape the Kingdom’s sustainable future."
The MoU establishes the groundwork for potential local assembly and production opportunities, alongside longer-term plans to develop a comprehensive value-chain ecosystem for hydrogen generators in the Kingdom.
This collaboration underlines the shared commitment of Abdul Latif Jameel Motors, EODev, and Octopian to deploy scalable, zero-emission power solutions in Saudi Arabia, contributing to the Kingdom’s carbon neutrality goals and a cleaner, greener future.
