DNV, the independent energy assurance provider, has awarded Adnoc a CO2 Storage Certificate at the Site Endorsement stage for its West Aquifer CO2 storage project.

Issued in accordance with ISO 27914:2017 standards, the certification confirms that Adnoc has demonstrated robust subsurface characterisation, reservoir analysis, containment assurance and risk management to progress to the next phase.

DNV’s assessment reviewed geological modelling, monitoring frameworks, conformance strategies and long-term storage planning. n
