Namibia’s offshore energy sector gains a local boost with the launch of Zephyr Marine Services, led by co-founder and Executive Director Taimi Nangula Itembu.

Bringing extensive experience from ExxonMobil, the US Department of State, and Namibian governance, Itembu aims to build domestic capacity for marine logistics and operational support.

Zephyr will serve upcoming offshore projects, including TotalEnergies’ Venus and Mopane fields, and facilitate exploration across Namibia’s Orange and Walvis Basins. The company emphasises locally driven solutions, positioning Namibian expertise at the heart of the country’s offshore development and first oil ambitions by 2029.
