Algeria’s 335,000 barrels per day Skikda refinery has completed a restart after a two-month partial shutdown for maintenance, a source at state-owned oil producer Sonatrach said.

“Now both crude distillation units are working fine,” said the source. “We were not quite at 100 per cent.”
Sonatrach partially shut down the refinery for scheduled maintenance in early June. The maintenance had been expected to last six to seven weeks, but was prolonged to just over two months after Sonatrach experienced difficulties restarting one of the refinery’s two crude distillation units.
The prolonged maintenance led to delays in the cargo loading programme for naphtha.
