Sokkia Ltd has introduced the Series110M Auto Pointing Total Stations with “Remoto-catcher” system, which enables one-touch target acquisition from the prism side.

It is a brand new concept remote control system, which is affordable for every business small or large, the company said.
The Remotocatcher system consists of an RC controller that emits a fan-shaped laser beam from the prism side that is received by a beam detector unit incorporated in the Series 1 10M instrument.
In conjunction with radio modems and a data collector, the remotocatcher facilitates full remote control of the total station, the company explained.
As the fan shaped laser beam emitted from the RC controller on the prism pole has a wide vertical range, the total station can locate the prism position with outstanding speed.
This eliminates operator stress allowing measurements to be made quickly and easily every time the prism is moved to the next point.
