Energy City Qatar appoints new CEO
Energy City Qatar, the $2.6 billion energy business hub, announced the appointment of their new CEO Hesham Al Emadi.

Having joined Energy City Qatar in September 2006, in the capacity of Deputy CEO, Al Emadi’s work and dedication have earned him promotion to Energy City Qatar’s top position. 
Al Emadi graduated from Texas A&M University with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and he has held a number of key positions in the energy and investment industry, making his role at Energy City Qatar an imperative asset.
Having been a Senior Researcher, Industrial Investment expert and having many years of experience in the field of energy, Hesham has valuable know-how of the industry especially that of Qatar.
Hesham Al Emadi has also established an Industrial Assessment Programme in all of the GCC in order to help improve and make a difference in the energy sector, which demonstrates his passion for the industry

CNPC names vice-president
China’s top state-run energy group, China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC), said it had named a deputy governor of southwest Yunnan province as its vice-president.
Li Xinhua, 54, is a trained chemist and had years of experience in natural gas processing before becoming deputy governor of the landlocked province, CNPC said on its Web site (www.cnpc.com.cn).
Industry experts said Li could play a role in one of the state giant's strategic projects to import natural gas from neighbouring Myanmar.
CNPC, parent of listed PetroChina, is planning to lay a gas pipeline from Myanmar to link with Yunnan province and supply the country's southwest region.
