Dubai Industrial City (DIA) has announced the setting up of the innovative Dubai Industrial Academy, a new dedicated vocational training centre to focus on providing a wide range of practical training solutions to serve the growing needs of the manufacturing and engineering sectors in the UAE and the region.
To develop this very ambitious project, Dubai Industrial City has set-up a strategic partnership with one of the UK’s leading training providers, The TTE Technical Training Group.
TTE is the leading UK-based, employer-led technical training provider to the engineering, oil and gas, process and manufacturing industries with extensive experience is delivering high quality, skilled and competent personnel to industry in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Rashed Al Ansari, chief executive officer of Dubai Industrial City, which operates under the umbrella of Tatweer, part of Dubai Holdings, said the City has decided to set up the new facility to help provide a continuous pipeline of technically qualified people to the industrial sector as well as upgrade the skills of the workforce in DI and beyond.
At the launch of the DIA, Rashed Al Ansari and TTE group managing director Keith Hunter signed the historic agreement to launch this long-term strategic alliance.
Rashed Al Ansari said: “We have partnered with the UK-based Technical Training Company, TTE, for the set up of the Dubai Industrial Academy as they command extensive experience in industrial training, having earned ‘Centre of Vocational Excellence’ status from the UK Government.
“The academy will offer a wide range of courses that meet the needs of the various industrial sectors that are presented across the UAE.”
