Encomara and Aurora Energy Services’ (AES) Squid system has received product design assessment (PDA) from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), advancing its certification pathway for floating offshore wind applications. 

The subsea connection solution integrates mooring lines and electrical connections into a single unit, aiming to simplify turbine installation. 

The technology is expected to reduce installation time and support more efficient floating wind deployment.
