X-energy is developing its Xe-100 small modular reactor (SMR), which uses helium as a coolant to generate electricity and high-temperature steam for industrial applications. Each unit is designed to produce 80 MWe and 200 MWt.
The technology aims to improve efficiency and support industrial decarbonisation, with proposed four-unit projects in Texas and Washington targeting deployment in the 2030s.
