“During the month of July this year, Al Shoumoukh Industries was audited by RWTUV in accordance with the ISO 9001:2000, 14001:1996 and OHSAS 18001:1999 standards,” says Dr Al Ameri. 
“The audit was successful, and we have been recommended for the certification, which is forthcoming in the next few weeks. 
“Our company is continually looking for ways to make improvements in all areas, and we focus constantly on customer satisfaction and customer delight.
“In addition, one of our group members, Certified Oilfield Rentals is the largest independent rental company in the region and in Europe, stocking the latest technology with high torque connection and proprietary grade drill pipe. 
“Currently the company is holding stocks within this region of $22 million of High Standard downhole rental equipments from the one-stop facility under the Al Shoumoukh Industries facility in Abu Dhabi Industrial City in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi,” says Dr Al Ameri. 
There are plans to expand with other bases and facilities in other GCC countries. 
“We are fully committed to expansion and fill the services we have to offer, and being a forerunner in new technology which we wish to bring the experience and the equipments to customer’s doorstep,” says Dr Al Ameri.
“Another member, Quipco Al Shoumoukh is based in Abu Dhabi Industrial City where we provide a wide range of products.
“Our latest addition is the Quipco Torq-King Breakout machine,” says Dr Al Ameri.
This unit was completely designed and manufactured in the UAE and incorporates a number of new design features that makes the Torq-King a useful addition to any workshop.
The control console houses both the electrical motor and hydraulic pumps. Specially designed flow equalizers ensure all jaws make contact centrally and the clamping force is uniformly applied.
The Torq-King includes a built in spinner unit and options include a Push Pull Ram. The Torq-King has a capacity 175,000 FT-LBS Make up torque and 220,000 FT-LBS Break Torque.
“Recently, two more companies have been joined the group, we have Knowledge System, where we are committed to introduce the new technology in the UAE and in the region,” says Dr Al Ameri.
“And we have BMT (British Maritime Technology) Surveys LLC. They extended their presence in the Gulf area by opening a new office in Abu Dhabi, ' says Dr Al Ameri.
“It offers a wide range of services to all sectors of the maritime community.  These include hull and machinery surveys, liability surveying and consultancy, loss prevention, P&I surveys, warranty and special project surveys (including offshore industry), litigation support and expert witness and reinsurance,' adds Dr Al Ameri.
