Byrne demonstrated product offering for the oil and gas industry
Byrne Equipment Rental, a diverse supplier of rental equipment across the GCC, for the first time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia held opens days as part of its regional campaign to showcase its existing products.
Three open days held were held across February and March in Yanbu and Jubail as well as at Byrne’s facilities in Riyadh.
In Yanbu and Jubail, the KSA teams demonstrated their product offering for the upstream and downstream oil and gas industry.
The company had a wide range of equipment on display, including temporary buildings, cargo containers, boom lifts, scissor lifts and steam boilers.
The open day provided Byrne with a great opportunity to showcase its existing and new products, which were recently added to its fleet to broaden its shutdown and turnaround portfolio.
Commenting on the occasion, Syed Zahid, Assistant General Manager KSA – Eastern & O&G KSA, says: "At the tail end of 2021, we launched an enhanced product for our camp services, designed based on heavy duty and durability, and specifically designed for drilling/rig area working. It was great to showcase these to our clients face to face on the day and we received positive feedback from drilling contractors and sub-contractors alike."
Over in Riyadh, the open day covered a wider range of equipment suitable for various sectors including but not limited to oil and gas, Construction and events.
The wide range of equipment on display included AC units, hoist & access machines and a state-of-the-art accommodation unit custom made by Byrne’s sister company Spacemaker – SmartSpace.
James Dodgson, General Manager of Byrne’s KSA operations, said: "This is the first time we have held events of this kind in the Kingdom and they have all been a huge success. While we have built great relationships with our existing clients over the years, it is important to take the time to welcome them, meet face to face and showcase our products, services, and the full one-stop solution that we can offer.
"We have a lot of customers that are long standing but we have always stayed in our lane with them; now it’s about showcasing all the other products and services that we can supply that they may not have been aware of before. This kind of relaxed, informal setting is the perfect way to inform and update our clients.
In the UAE, Byrne’s Abu Dhabi and Dubai teams were busy with two open days of their own.
First up the Abu Dhabi team held a successful day at its depot in Musaffah, where Branch Manager Matt Chandler and his specialist team demonstrated an extensive range of equipment with a key focus on their camp offering for the oil and gas industry.
The team displayed temporary buildings in various configurations and setups to demonstrate their capabilities such as laundry rooms, mess halls, VIP and junior accommodation and kitchens.
Meanwhile in Dubai, Byrne showcased equipment applicable to the events and construction industries.
Skilled team members were on hand to give live demonstrations of equipment, such as hoist and mast climbers, and effectively showcased the versatility of their temporary buildings and sanitation units, which are available in multiple configurations and standards such as regular, VIP and people of determination.
Emily Stracey, Sales Supervisor for Byrne’s events division in UAE said: "These open days are a great way of networking and catching up with our clients in an informal setting as opposed to being on-site or at a meeting.
"The events industry in UAE is picking up and we have had a busy start to 2023, which is looking like another busy year for our team which is fantastic after the slowdown of the industry in the aftermath of the pandemic."
