MSA debuts new detection device
MSA Safety has introduced the ALTAIR io 6 Multigas Detector, its newest connected detection device designed for confined space monitoring and sampling.
Debuting in Europe, it is the company’s first cellular-connected six-gas detector with an integrated pump.
Compact and handheld, it features XCell sensors, a large display, and a removable rechargeable battery.
The device joins the ALTAIR io 4 on the MSA Connected Work Platform, sharing the same interface and MSA Grid software for seamless fleet integration.
AuCom presents 1 kV VFD
AUCOM offers the HM Series 1 kV variable frequency drives (VFDs) for industrial applications requiring high performance under challenging conditions.
These drives deliver high torque at low speeds, covering a power range of 45 to 1,250 kW.
Designed for energy efficiency, they utilise NPC three-level topology, achieving up to 98% conversion efficiency while minimising harmonics.
Available in 2- and 4-quadrant versions, they allow fast braking and regenerative feedback.
The compact design suits confined installations, and features like CAN interface and remote monitoring ensure precise control and ease of use.
New advance MPD training
WEATHERFORD has partnered with Maersk Training to develop IADC-accredited Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) programmes.
Combining Weatherford’s 55 years of MPD expertise and advanced simulation software with Maersk’s 45 years of global training excellence, the collaboration sets a new standard in simulation-based learning.
The initiative provides comprehensive MPD training from introductory to supervisory levels, enhancing personnel readiness for real-world operations.
It also helps operators maximise value from Managed Pressure Wells by applying pressure management across the entire well lifecycle, positioning both companies as global leaders in all levels of IADC MPD training.
Phoenix offers switches for critical ops
THE EP4200 and EP5200 series raptor switches from Phoenix Contact are designed for high performance in critical infrastructures and the energy sector.
Compliant with IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards, they operate reliably in extreme temperatures from -40 deg C to +75 deg C (up to +85 deg C).
The EP5200 supports up to 28 Ethernet ports in a 19-inch format, while the EP4200 supports up to 16 ports in a compact DIN rail design.
Both models offer gigabit Ethernet through copper and fiberglass ports, with optional 10 gigabit ports for high-throughput applications, ensuring reliability and resilience in mission-critical environments.
