Adipec 2010

Hi-Force makes it eight in a row

Hi-Force ... showcasing its products

HI-FORCE’s presence at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum exhibition and conference (Adipec) 2010 is vitally important to its continued growth within the Middle East region. As the largest exhibition of its kind in the Middle East, Hi-Force has participated in every exhibition since 1996, making Adipec 2010 the 8th successive Hi-Force appearance.

Adipec allows Hi-Force exposure to an ever increasing number of visitors, from new and existing customers and the ever expanding product range will again attract many visitors to the Hi-Force stand.

This year, Hi-Force will be showcasing an extensive range of established products plus many new ones.
According to the company, products on display at the Hi-Force stand will include cylinders, manual and powered pumps, manual and hydraulic torque wrenches, stud bolt tensioners, jacks, nut splitters, puller kits, crimpers and many other items. In addition, visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about BoltRight, its market leading software programme that assists engineers, in applications where accurate and consistent ‘bolt up’ of joint connections is required.

The BoltRight programme, which is Windows compatible, allows users to input key joint data related to flange size and class, for all ANSI/ASME, API and ISO type flanges, applicable bolt material specification, gasket material and type, joint operating temperature, thread lubricant and the preferred or specified method of bolt tightening (torque or direct tension) which is analysed and used to calculate the correct torque and/or tension figures, to successfully achieve a leak free joint first time every time.

The BoltRight programme also allows the user to compile a comprehensive on-site Flange Management System by creating an individual tightening procedure for each bolted joint, which can include information such as company name, joint reference number and location, tools used and several other key joint specific data, all of which can be easily entered into the joint tightening procedure and then added to a retrievable and printable master joint register.

BoltRight also calculates the required pump preset hydraulic pressure, required for the selected Hi-Force hydraulic torque wrench or bolt tensioner system to be used to tighten the fasteners.

Meanwhile, the recent opening of its new group headquarters in Daventry, UK – comprising 50,000 sq ft of built-up area and a further 20,000 sq ft of outside yard area – has enabled Hi-Force to combine its machine shop, inspection, assembly and testing, finishing, stores and logistics, sales and marketing and group finance into one premises.

Kevin Brown, group managing director commented at the building handover ceremony: “We are delighted to take possession of this new facility and are confident that it will help us to take our existing high levels of efficiency, to a whole new level.

As a manufacturer that currently exports 87 per cent of its products to over 100 countries worldwide, this long overdue move to a facility three times the size of our previous one, is sure to further accelerate Hi-Force’s ambitious growth plans over the coming years.”

Further impressive aspects of the new premises are its many innovative and environmentally friendly features, which include energy efficient heating, cooling and ventilation systems, renewable solar energy hot water, ground source heat pumps and rainwater harvesting.
