The key to the single screw compressor’s high energy efficiency is Vilter’s exclusive Parallex slide system allowing the compressor to run at optimum efficiency through its full range of capacity.
This dual slide arrangement offers the highest level of flexibility and performance optimisation for screw compressors. The Vilter single screw compressor is available for high pressure applications with discharge pressures up to 900 psig and differential pressures up to 550 psid.
Vilter’s single screw compressors are also available with ceramic bearings for sour gas and corrosive gas applications.
Copeland Scroll modular compression is an exceptionally low maintenance, compact, rugged and a breakthrough approach to oil field gas compression.
The scroll module comes equipped with many highly qualified features typically found only on larger oil field compression packages. Packaged flow rates are 15-600 mcfd, 70-345 psig single stage discharge pressure, and vacuum to 25 psig suction. The compressor module is designed for assembly into a package ready for service in the field.
The Copeland scroll modules can be used for various applications which include – wellhead casing pressure reduction, vapour gas recovery, coal bed methane, and flare reduction applications. These have been in application for the last few years in US and Canadian oil fields with tremendous success. Trials have been carried out in Kuwait resulting in significant production increase.
This solution for the small horsepower compression application is unique for the region and has the potential to improve the production efficiencies drastically while addressing environmental issues on venting and flaring.
The Middle East and Africa region are an extremely important market for Emerson in view of the tremendous potential for utilising the Emerson Gas Compression equipment.
