THE International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition incorporating refining and petrochemicals will celebrate its 20th anniversary when it opens doors to visitors at the Baku Expo Centre Baku, Azerbaijan on June 4.
The adjoining Caspian Oil & Gas Conference will be held on June 5 and 6 at the Jumeirah Bilgah Beach Hotel.
Caspian Oil and Gas continues to be the largest and best-attended oil and gas event in the Azerbaijan and the Caspian region. The event is held annually under the patronage of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and is officially supported by the Ministry of Industry and Energy and Socar.
Natig Aliyev, Minister of Industry and Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, states: “Caspian Oil & Gas is the most significant event in the region. Every year, we attend this specialised event and invite our partners – those who we had initiated the oil strategy with, those who continue implementing and developing it today, and those who hope to take part in regional and transcontinental projects which Azerbaijan is going to carry out in the future”.
The event will bring together heads of oil and gas companies, managers and employees of energy companies, representatives of environmental companies, government institutions, specialists in the chemical industry, engineers, technical managers, geologists, specialists in oil and gas companies, service companies, construction companies, transport companies, heads of medical and pharmaceutical organizations, press and diplomatic corporations.
The exhibition sectors include reservoir engineering, geophysics and geology, construction and exploitation oil and gas wells, platforms and floating rigs, designing, manufacturing and servicing equipment for the oil and gas industry, pipe-laying and providing protection systems for pipelines, refining and petrochemicals, hydrocarbons transportation, building and construction work for the energy sector, providing oil and gas storage systems, producing specialist techniques, general operational and maintenance back-up, and spare parts and financial and legal services.
Attracting almost 500 delegates and with official support from the Ministry of Industry and Energy and Socar, Caspian Oil & Gas is one of the most important regional oil and gas conferences.
Last year, the total exhibition space covered was 4,302 sq m, with over 304 exhibitors participating in the event; 5,093 trade visitors; 35 participating countries; 21 sponsors; 492 delegates and 43 speakers attending the event.

Angus Miller, Caspian Energy Adviser, Foreign & Commonwealth Office, UK states: “As it is so well-established, the Caspian Oil & Gas Conference provides the one annual event where opinions and experts can be heard, and those with an interest in Caspian energy issues are bound to meet”.
