The Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) on Monday said it had declared a state of emergency after an oil spill was reported at a location west of Kuwait, Kuna, the state news agency, said quoting a KOC official.
 
In a statement to the press, Qusai Al-Amer, Deputy CEO for Administrative Affairs and official spokesman of KOC, said the leakage had caused some injury to personnel.
 
He also said no poisonous gas leakage was detected at the site of the incident, and teams were currently handling the situation, taking the necessary procedure to contain the situation. --OGN
