Fallon ... seeing significant improvement in business

The firm has previously participated at Adipec and sees it as the main meeting place of the oil and gas industry for the region. It presents Byrne with its best opportunity to meet and engage with the wider industry, introduce new products and services

Byrne Equipment Rental, the most diverse supplier of rental equipment across the GCC, is unveiling a suite of brand new products and services at Adipec 2017 as part of its growth strategy in the oil and gas space.

The company’s exhibits include a walk-through illustration of its new industry offering – an expat housing complex near Ruwais in Abu Dhabi as well as its new equipment types that it has recently added to its oil and gas rental fleet portfolio, including material handling and lifting equipment, hoists and access platforms, ATEX electrical lighting and power distribution equipment and Inflatable Habitats, says Pat Fallon, group chief operating officer, Byrne Group.

Byrne, which has 14 operational bases, a fleet of almost 10,000 items of plant and a team of 800-plus people, is also partnering with its sister company, Spacemaker at this year’s exhibition. Spacemaker provides tailor-made engineering solutions for complex purpose built structures that require fast-track turnaround and innovative transport solutions, from skid mounted accommodation units for the oil and gas industry, to container conversions, flat packs, ablution blocks, modular warehouses and site offices.

'Spacemaker’s success is built on reliability, quality and its ability to cater to any part of the globe or any specific requirement. Spacemaker’s products and structures are engineered using state-of-the-art equipment and technology, ensuring maximum longevity and low total life costs for our clients,' he says.

On the company’s expansion plans, Fallon says: 'We have a strategy of two halves – the expansion of our facilities into new territories, and the growth of our equipment fleet. Both are led by customer demand which we expect to continue to grow which in turn gives us the confidence that the equipment rental industry has an extremely bright foreseeable future.'

'The exacting nature of equipment required in the oil and gas sector has led us to expand our rental fleets which today includes blast resistant modular buildings, 100 per cent portable oil-free compressors with desiccant dryers, steam boilers, Alimak industrial Hoists and mast climbers and complete state-of- -the-art skid-mounted and trailer-mounted support modular buildings. These are additional to the already established product lines for which we are well known,' he says.

Byrne has previously participated at Adipec and sees it as the main meeting place of the oil and gas industry for the region. It presents Byrne with its best opportunity to meet and engage with the wider industry, introduce new products and services, and learn about trends and activity in the markets it serves. This in turn allows Byrne to learn about the challenges which the industry faces and to see what solutions it can develop to address these challenges for both new and existing clients, says Fallon.

Referring to the company’s business performance this year, Fallon says: 'Despite the changed landscape of the market resulting from lower oil prices in recent years, we have seen a significant improvement in business this year to date. We believe this is largely because the market has stabilised after a period of adjusting to the ‘new norm’ where oil prices are concerned. While challenges in the markets are undeniable, as an equipment rental provider, we have met these thanks to significant growth of interest in equipment rental options, as companies look for alternatives to capex spend.'

Fallon says: 'Our product range is built upon Byrne’s well established ‘one-stop-shop’ model, satisfying our customer requirements in all segments of trade and industry. We work hard to ensure that our rental fleet is constantly updated to carry the latest and most efficient brands of equipment.'

Byrne delivers a dedicated commitment to customer service, unparalleled in the industry and this is supported by providing a 24/7 round the clock service accessible to all customers at any given time.

The Group’s corporate vision is to become the largest provider of equipment rental and lease in the GCC. To support this it continuously adds products to its portfolio in order to further broaden its appeal and enable operational efficiency through its equipment rental and lease solutions.

For over 25 years, Byrne Equipment Rentals business has been built on the basis of forging ties with key players in the industries its serves, and today it is most active in doing so with the oil and gas industry. 'This is reflected in our aggressive geographical expansion in recent years, our engagement with major sector players in the region, and more lately our investment in growing a fleet of equipment that not only allows us to get closer to our customers but also signals our intention to lead the way in developing viable rental and lease solutions in the future,' he adds.
