It can reportedly demonstrate a proven track record of outstanding performance in oil, gas, offshore, chemical and petrochemical applications.
Combining the durability of gate valves with the performance of quarter turn valves, the 30,000's compact design offers considerable space savings over more traditional alternatives, claims Tyco.
The single-piece cast body design, with face-to-face dimensions complying with ISO 5752, ANSI 816.10 and API 609, 30,000s allows for interchangability with gate, high performance butterfly, plug, and other valve types, for simple and flexible installation.
All-metal construction, which combines a hardened Stellite seat with Duplex seal rings, means the 30,000 is inherently firesafe.
The unique, triple offset geometry completely eliminates all seat to seal rubbing throughout the valve's 90 degrees rotation. Such resistance to wear allows for further cost-efficiency, minimising maintenance and plant downtime.
Bubble-tight closure ensures zero leakage, even under high pressures and temperatures from cryogenic (-254øC) to +815øC.
Particularly suitable for arduous and hazardous applications in the oil, petrochemical and chemical industries, the Vanessa 30,000 can be used in a range of difficult duties, including the control of toxic, flammable and corrosive process media, hot gases, saturated and superheated steam and solvents.
Available in sizes from 80mm to 2100mm, the valve's modular design enables direct mounting of a quarter-turn electric, hydraulic or pneumatic actuator, for local or remote operation.
It is available in a variety of construction materials and in double flanged, buttwelded, or wafer-lugged configurations.
A QTG Vanessa is also available, which complies with standard gate valve dimensions, says Tyco.
