Mitsubishi Chemical Corp, Japan’s biggest petrochemical maker, said that it would shut a 450,000 tonnes-per-year naphtha cracker for 10 days due to a technical problem.
Mitsubishi Chemical plans to shut the unit at its Mizushima plant in western Japan for unplanned checks as it has found a coolant water leak, a company spokesman said.
