Project status
During the first week of June 2010, with a bid of $155 million, the joint venture client Al Khafji Joint Operations (KJO) has officially revealed that JGC Corporation of Japan is the lowest bidder for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to build a new water treatment plant in the divided zone between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait.
Project scope
The scope of work consist of the expansion of the crude onshore production facilities in the Neutral Zone.
Project structure
KJO is a 50:50 joint venture of Aramco Gulf Operations, a division of state run Saudi Aramco and Kuwait Gulf Oil Company, which is a subsidiary of state run Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC).
