Power the World in Cleaner Ways is one of the key mottos of SETF and it has been striving to work for it ever since the company was formed.
Everything from its production processes to its products, says the company, is environment friendly as it does not use any pollutants and most of their components can be recycled.
In the same line of thinking, it has moved on and manufactured transformers that can be recycled and re-entered in the production process.
Although Copper Cast are transformers with a life expectancy exceeding 20 years, SETF offers its clients an End of Life Service. “It’s a guarantee that shows that the Mother Earth resources are being re used and properly re integrated in the natural order of things,” says the company spokesperson.
The quantity of copper and steel that can be removed from these transformers is huge, same applies for the plastics and other insulating material, and SETF claims that it makes sure that nothing goes waste.
Once Copper Cast is sold, delivered, commissioned and handed over, SETF says its technical team listens to its clients’ minutest concerns 24/7 assuring them that they have a helping hand whenever and wherever they need it.Besides the technical characteristics of Copper Cast and their outstanding features, SETF has managed through extensive research and process re engineering to be able to give its customers a SETF five years guarantee on all its transformers.
The ‘n’ Design
“Manufacturing the best products nowadays has taken a sharp turn. We can no longer work ignoring the environment in which we evolve,” says SETF general manager Dr J N Maalouly. With this in mind, the SETF R&D team introduced in late 2002 a new design improvement to its transformers making them clean and efficient. The company has chosen the symbol ‘n’ to tag all its design transformers which are widely recognised for their very high efficiency plus a host of other amazing properties.
Lower Core Losses – Reduced Noise
By using a grain oriented, cold rolled silicon steel, and keeping the magnetic flux at optimum levels within the magnetic core, SETF produces transformers with reduced core loss. This reduction in core losses brings the additional benefit of lower noise levels. “Add to this a carefully designed coil cushioning system and our ‘n’ design transformers have the lowest noise level around. We will pass the most demanding noise level standards, thus causing minimal acoustic pollution to the surrounding environment,” adds Dr Maalouly.
By using only the purest electrolytic copper foils, and the toughest enameled copper wires, backed by more then 25 years of design experience SETF offers transformers with infinitely low copper losses, thus reducing thermal pollution, electricity bill, transmission losses, and above all it believes it is actively helping in the reduction of greenhouse gases emission.
Benefits all the Way
Lower core loss, lower copper loss, lower transmission loss, lower noise emission, and lower -or virtually non-existent maintenance cost – will only bring more savings and benefits. With SETF’s energy effecient transformers, the company assures peace of mind, respect for the clients’ surroundings and above all a faster payback on its client’s initial investment.
