Pertamina studies 2 Iranian oilfields

TEHRAN: Pertamina, Indonesia’s state-owned oil and gas company, is conducting a feasibility study on two Iranian oilfields in a bid to step up output, a report said. 'We now have a data room with them for evaluation (purposes), so we can assess the value and other things,' Pertamina managing director Dwi Soetjipto was quoted as saying in the Iran Daily report.

 

 

 

Aramco cuts crude OSP to Asia

DUBAI: Saudi Aramco has cut its November price for its Arab Light grade for Asian customers by $0.25 a barrel versus October to a discount of $0.45 a barrel to the Oman/Dubai average, it said. The company dropped its Arab Light OSP to Northwest Europe by $0.45 a barrel for November from the previous month at a discount of $5.20 a barrel.

 

 

 

Penspen awarded Abu Dhabi deal

ABU DHABI: Penspen, a leading provider of engineering and project management services to the energy industry, has been signed up by Matrix Construction to provide modification works at Bab and Asab fields, located west of Abu Dhabi. The fields are owned and operated by the Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Petroleum Operations (Adco).

 

 

 

India plans $2.7bn plant expansion

MUSCAT: India plans to invest $2.71 billion to raise capacity of its Panipat refinery in the state of Haryana to 25 million tonnes (mt) by 2020, a report said. State-run Indian Oil Corporation director (Refineries) Sanjiv Singh said in the Oman Tribute report. 'We have land at Panipat refinery site and so we are looking at going to 25 mt,' he said. ' IOC owns and operates 11 out of India’s 23 refineries with a combined refining capacity of 80.7 mt per annum, said the report.

DUBAI: BASF, a leading chemicals producer, unveiled its latest innovations in water treatment chemicals at Water, Energy Technology And Environment Exhibition (Wetex) in Dubai, UAE. In line with the Wetex 2016 theme 'At the Forefront of Sustainability', BASF showcased its range of customer-centric and environmentally-beneficial solutions for the water industry to enhance the dewatering performance of waste water treatment plants, maintain the high level of productivity of desalination plants and protect these facilities from scale formation and fouling, said a statement.
